Cleaning Operatives
Various Locations in North West Edinburgh

Rate: £9.34 per hour (including living wage allowance, salary pro-rata for part time and 40 weeks sessional)
Hours: various hours available from 6 to 20 hours per week

We are looking for a number of permanent Cleaning Operatives to join the team in the North West area, specifically for the following schools.

These posts are Monday to Friday and are a mix of sessional (40 weeks per year) and non-sessional (52 weeks per year) posts:

Blackhall Primary School - 1 x 10 hour and 1 x 8 hour Cramond Primary School and Nursery - 1 x 15 hour Dalmeny Primary School – 1 x 10 hour Flora Stevensons Primary School - 1 x10 hours Fort Early Years Community Centre - 1 x16 hour Maternity cover until September Fort Community Centre - 1 x 10 hour Granton Primary School - 2 x 12.5 hours Hillwood Primary School – 1 x 12.5 hour New Granton Nursery - 3 x 12.5 hours Gylemuir Primary School - 1 x 6.5 hour Oaklands Special School - 2 x 12.5 hours Queensferry Primary School- 2 x 7.5 hours and 1 x 10-hour Day Ranger Queensferry High School - 7 posts - between 10 hours & 20 hours Ratho Primary School - 1 x 7.5 hour & 1 x 10 hours Russell Road Depot/Fleet Services - 1 x 12.5 hour Stockbridge Primary School - 1 x 11.25 hour Trinity Academy - 2 x 10 hours Grindlay Court Criminal Justice Centre 1 x 7.5 Hours cleaner Argyle House 1 x 5 hours cleaner Museums 4 x 2 hours at weekends cleaners

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

The City of Edinburgh Council applies a Living Wage allowance to ensure that all employees earn at least £9.34 per hour. Successful applicants will be paid the hourly rate as advertised, plus the allowance, in order to bring their earnings to £9.34 per hour.
