Mon-Thurs 08.55-15.30, Fri 08.55-12.35
This post is term time - 39 weeks per year

Given the uncertain situation regarding schools re-opening to pupils, we may be unable to confirm start dates to the successful candidates. Successful candidates should not hand their notice in until they have received a written contract of employment stating their start date.

We require an experienced ASN Auxiliary to initially support pupils in the P4-P7 classes (Preston Road campus) but may be required to work with P1-P3 yeargroups at our West Loan campus. Preston Tower Primary is a two site campus. Preston Road campus being the upper campus P4-7. The management team consists of one Head Teacher, 4 Depute Head Teachers and 2 Principal Teachers across both sites.

To provide care and assistance to individuals and small groups of pupils with additional
support needs.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Good standard of general education
Experience of working with or caring for children with additional support needs

Nursery Only: SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post is essential.

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups are required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
