Due to the nature of the role, you will also be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership for children and protected adults.£10.04 per hour to start with, plus extra pay enhancements for shift work, including weekends.
As this role involves travelling between service user homes, travel expenses will be paid – we pay 45p per mile to staff using their own car.
A generous pension scheme and paid holiday entitlement of 24 days (pro -rata), rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service (pro-rata).

In return, you will provide support to people in their homes in accordance with the National Care Standards https://bit.ly/2YySl2N, record information in service user care plans and provide companionship and support. You should be kind, compassionate, non-judgemental, caring and a good team player.
If you are successful and have not previously worked in the care sector, you must register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within the first 6 months of starting your job. You must then achieve ‘SVQ Social Service and Healthcare SCQF Level 6’ during the first period of SSSC registration. If you don’t hold this qualification already, Fife Council will support you to achieve this award.
