To produce the required school meals to standards required by the Nutritional Food and Drink Scotland regulations 2018
To ensure a high standard of customer care in respect of all users of the service.
To ensure that the highest standards of Health and Safety are applied.The Individual
Significant experience of working in a kitchen.
Experience of staff supervision.
Experience of handling cash.
Ability to remain task focused.
Strong customer care skills and focus.
An understanding of relevant legislation in relation to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety in the workplace.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work to timescales and work under pressure without compromising efficiency or safety.
Knowledge of Healthy Eating.
Numerate and attention to detail.
Ability to plan work schedules
Use own initiative.
Effective communication skills for dealing both with staff and children.
Understanding of and importance of effective team working.
Effective organisational skills and ability to organise and work to detailed time plans.
Willingness to accept direction/delegation.
Ability to lift heavy pots and pans.
Ability to bend and stretch in order to carry out wet cleaning.

Starting Salary £21952.84 (Pro-rata)
£11.41 per hour 35 hours per week
