We are looking for innovative, highly motivated radiographers willing to make a contribution to the clinical workload in the radiology department at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
‘The radiographer must have a keen interest in paediatric radiography and show a particular aptitude for working with children. The radiographer must be able to independently justify and perform paediatric and neo-natal radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental guidelines, policies and protocols, whilst providing a high level of patient care and produce good quality radiographs in accordance with ALARA. To comply with all the associated legal and statutory regulations governing the care and protection of children.’
An analytical and enquiring approach to work as well as effective planning and organisational skills are required. This post should appeal to experienced radiographers who wish to develop their expertise in a wide range of specialties.
The post is 0.73 WTE per week and there would be weekday, weekend duties and unsocial evening shifts, with a potential of on-call commitment. The hours would preferably be divided into 2 or more posts, due to the more unsocial hours
