The Underwater Centre has a vacancy for a cook / kitchen assistant to prepare and serve food and beverages in our student restaurant. Assist with the preparation of main dinner dishes, vegetables, desserts, salad bar, sandwich fillings, and breakfasts. Serving meals, dishwashing, cleaning and dealing with deliveries. Hours are 6am to 1pm or 1pm to 8pm on a rota working 35 hours, 5 days per week including weekends, with occassional split shifts.
Previous experience in catering and a food hygiene certificate is preferable but training can be given to someone who can demonstrate that they have good basic cooking skills and enjoy cooking. We are also looking for someone with good communication skills and a friendly and helpful attitude.
