1 x 36 hrs per week and 1 x 18 hrs per week, salary pro rata

You will assist in the provision of a business systems control function across all Revenues Unit systems by undertaking and developing processes and procedures to ensure statutory compliance, system integrity and internal/external audit requirements are met.
You will assist in the control and reconciliation of the council’s income and administration of the rent accounting function including the household contents insurance scheme for council tenants.
You will undertake reconciliations, accuracy checks and data analysis to identify and reduce financial error.
You will ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service of high quality to customers through effective organisation and control of workload.
The Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation (IRRV) Technician qualification / SVQ Level III or your ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and experience along with a comprehensive practical knowledge of the relevant legislation and council policies relating to the Local Government Taxes and the Benefits scheme, income management, rent accounting and reconciliation procedures are essential.
Experience of working within a Revenues environment as well as being able to demonstrate good organisational and communication skills along with experience of using your own initiative and prioritising your own workload are also essential.
