This is a term-time, part-time post and the salary will be pro-rata'd to the hours worked.
Reporting directly to the Head Teacher you will have responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of a comprehensive clerical and administration service supporting the operations within Knoxland Primary School.
You will ensure the smooth running of the school office and provide a welcoming and efficient reception service whilst responding to all enquiries via telephone or from visitors to the establishment. The post holder must be prepared to offer pastoral care to both pupils and parents.
General office duties will include photo-copying, filing, document preparation, mail recording /distribution, assisting with the arrangement of transport and trips/outings and routine cash handling duties e.g. receiving and recording payments for school activities, uniforms etc. You will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have excellent organisational and communication skills
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
