Based in Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.
The impact of COVID-19 on Health and Social Care services has been significant. Staff and organisations across Renfrewshire and beyond have made an invaluable contribution to supporting local residents and the vulnerable. While the response to COVID-19 continues, Renfrewshire HSCP is now actively developing and implementing its plans for recovery and renewal, considering how we continue to enhance service provision but also how we as an organisation transform service delivery to meet the future needs of Renfrewshire. A key element of our considerations will be how we can use our property portfolio as effectively as possible in future, reflecting the impact of the pandemic and opportunities presented by different ways of working.
This is a really exciting time to join the Partnership, with the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of change activity to deliver on ambitious national and local priorities for health and social care. To support this critical work, we are seeking to recruit a temporary Change and Improvement Officer for a period of two years, to support the HSCP in taking forward this agenda. The postholder will play a critical role in delivering the transformative vision that will be set out in our Strategic Plan.
Reporting to the Change and Improvement Manager you will be responsible for working across the HSCP to support the development of a consistent future strategy for how property can be most effectively used in the delivery of health and care services in Renfrewshire. This will also include working with the HSCP’s partners in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to determine appropriate plans. These plans will also need to consider the HSCP’s transformational plans and the accompanying objectives of the services we provide. There will also be the opportunity to support the wider programme of change being undertaken by the HSCP.
It is essential that you have experience of developing and delivering projects and strategies, with a related qualification and experience (at degree level or equivalent) and will be comfortable working with a range of stakeholders across sectors to design solutions which are fit for the future and improve outcomes for people and staff.
You will be able to motivate staff and stakeholders through the change process, gaining commitment to progress to ensure the timely and effective delivery of actions and develop and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels in the organisation (both internal and external), including the ability to engage with senior stakeholders. You will also be comfortable with ambiguity and in navigating uncertain situations, reflecting the complexity resulting from current circumstances.
Experience of health and social care and/or considering property within the context of change is desirable
The successful applicants may choose to be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either Renfrewshire Council or NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
