We encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds and therefore would like to offer the opportunity to one applicant from the Highlands and Islands to join our trainee scheme on Good Omens Series 2.

Accommodation and travel will be provided for the successful applicant. This production is based near Bathgate and will be filming in studios and locations in the Central Belt of Scotland. This paid traineeship, in association with Screen Scotland, will not only introduce you to the world of film and TV making but will teach, train and develop your skills. You will be gaining on the job experience, learning a wide range of skills and knowledge from your mentor and the rest of your team. There will also be the opportunity to participate in external training courses relevant to the industry and your department.

No previous experience is required. Due to Covid-19 all trainees must be able to travel to the production base and the locations safely which means ideally avoiding public transport. In addition, some of the roles, for example camera, AD, grip or locations will require travel to a variety of different locations outside of towns and cities early in the morning and possibly late at night so are likely to necessitate being driven or driving yourself.

For the successful candidates provisions will be made for those who are unable to drive or who do not have a car.

Filming will commence in October and the trainee will have some prep time before the filming begins. The scheme will finish on or around 11th March. There will be a three week hiatus over Christmas.

We are looking for 1 x person from the Highlands and Islands to join our traineeship in one of the following departments:
Costume Trainee – Start Date 4th October 2021
Locations Trainee – Start Date 4th October 2021
Camera Trainee – Start Date 4th October 2021
Assistant Director Trainee – Start Date 11th October 2021
Makeup Trainee – Start Date 11th October 2021
Grip Trainee – Start Date 11th October 2021
Continuity Trainee – Start Date 11th October 2021
Video Assist Trainee – Start Date 13th October 2021
