Undertake a range of early learning supports aligned to a structured 24-month Modern Apprenticeship, incorporating a programme of workplace learning within a Childhood Centre that contributes to the promotion, delivery and integration of the Council’s key objectives; specifically, in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement and Best Value.
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants for such posts will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with either or both of these groups as appropriate, or if they are already a Scheme member, be subject to a PVG Scheme Record Update, before any formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council.

There are 10 full time full year temporary posts available across East Ayrshire.
The hours of work are 35 per week.
To be eligible to apply for you must be between 16 and 24 years old and have 3 x Nat 5's (including English) or completed Foundation Apprenticeship in Social Services (Children and Young People). You also need to be a resident of East Ayrshire.
These posts are temporary for 1 to 2 years depending on the qualification you currently hold.
The rate of pay will be £6.56 for 16-20 year olds or £8.36 if 21 or 22 years of age or £8.91 if 23 or 24.
