We are looking for skilled and trustworthy addition to our management team.
We required a skilled maintenance person to undertake reactive and routine repairs to various properties around Lochaber. The successful applicant may be asked to travel further afield occasionally to undertake similar work at properties outside Lochaber.
There may be an occasional requirement for carrying out minor contract works in various locations.
The work will be part-time, however, for an applicant with the necessary skills, the work could be full-time for the first few months at least. Apart from reactive work, which must be attended to promptly, the timing of work can often be arranged to suit the applicant’s availability.
The working hours will be flexible to suit varying needs, but will probably average out over a year at 25 or 30 per week.
The work will involve liaising with, and reporting to, our Office Manager and Head Housekeeper to ensure that all our properties are kept in a good state of repair.
Preferably time-served in a construction trade, with ability in other trades, so able to undertake joinery, plumbing, minor electrical work, painting & decorating, drainage and groundworks.
Experienced in all aspects of property maintenance.
Must be enthusiastic and reliable and have a pleasant and professional manner when dealing with guests and clients.
Have your own transport.
Possess initiative and problem-solving skills and be able to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks effectively.
Be able to follow instructions methodically and have excellent attention to detail.
Be able and willing to attend reactive repairs outside normal working hours.
Be reasonably fit.
The successful applicant might be invited to attend training courses to achieve formal qualifications.
