RESPITE SERVICE SUPPORT WORKER 

Dundee Outreach & Carers Respite Service Support Worker 2 (Ref: N929)

£18,525 - £19,987, 37.5 hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for Support worker 2 role in our Dundee service. We expect our support workers to establish positive relationships with service users and offer practical and emotional support. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a mature and caring attitude and possess excellent listening and communication skills. They will also have experience of working in the field of mental health or social care and will be qualified to SVQ Level III in care or equivalent or the willingness to undertake this. Whatever your background, a flexible caring approach combined with good practical skills will be essential. You should be flexible in the hours you are available to work.

The post will involve travel across various locations so a full driving licence and access to your own transport is required.

As this post will involve a variety of shift patterns including evening, weekends and on-calls. You will be flexible in the hours and shifts you are available to work.

DUNDEE CARE AT HOME PRACTITIONERS (Ref: N931)

£18,525 (pro rata), PT hours

Practitioners provide direct support to individuals in the accommodation to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Support is focused on enabling people to build on their existing skills or develop new skills, increase their self-esteem and confidence, which in turn will encourage involvement and promote independence. This is achieved by using interpersonal and motivational skills to help an individual explore options, the possible outcomes/consequences and make an informed choice based on this.

You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills and a mature attitude together with adaptability and enthusiasm. Knowledge and experience in supporting people with mental health problems is desirable as is experience working with people who have had long term hospital admissions.

As this post will involve a variety of shift patterns including evening, weekends, waking night shift and on-calls. You will be flexible in the hours and shifts you are available to work.

DUNDEE BANK RELIEF PRACTITIONERS (Ref:N932) 

£9.50 per hour

We require a number of people to join our bank relief pool. You should be able to provide direct support to individuals in the accommodation to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Support is focused on enabling people to build on their existing skills or develop new skills, increase their self-esteem and confidence, which in turn will encourage involvement and promote independence. This is achieved by using interpersonal and motivational skills to help an individual explore options, the possible outcomes/consequences and make an informed choice based on this.

This role involves flexible shift working, including evening and weekends and waking night shift.
