West Highland College UHI is looking to appoint a Mental Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinator to meet the needs of students and staff, complementing the work of the Student Counsellor, Student Services and HR.
The successful candidate will be expected to organise, deliver and co-ordinate services and activities to promote, maintain and improve mental health and wellbeing. This may include delivering mental health support sessions across our college centres as well as delivering health promotional activity including events, drop-in clinics, presentations and workshops, and where appropriate, signposting or referring to other services.
We are looking for someone with a relevant qualification in this area or demonstrable professional experience. Experience working with young people in an education/youth setting is also essential.
The role would suit someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as someone with initiative and self-motivation.
Location: Cross Campus Role
Salary: £23,118 per annum (pro-rata)
Duration: Term time only (36 weeks)
This is a funded post, currently for 1 year
Working Hours: 30 hours 20 minutes per week
