What is the role?
The DevOps Engineer provides Level 2 technical support services to aid the delivery of a variety of infrastructure products and services (Data Centre, Desktop and Device categories) to South Ayrshire Council ICT users.
The post holder ensures assigned products and services are delivered and maintained to a high quality, resilient and compliant standard to both internal ICT and external Service users, following operational processes to meet agreed levels of service.
Creates documentation and guidance to enable future resolution at Level 1, and provides subject matter expert support and services at Level 2. Support and services may also cover Level 3 for specific systems and escalation will occur as required.
Leads on minor works, and participates in multi-functional projects to meet organisational objectives, priorities and timelines.
This role will be primarily home-based, and will support the continued adoption of Microsoft 365, telephony via Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure AD and Azure IaaS.

The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 10, the hourly rate is from £20.30 to £21.57 and the annual salary is from £37,047 to £39,365. Please note this post is temporary for 12 months.
