What is the role?
The Helpdesk Technician provides Level 1 (first-line) user support and services for the ICT helpdesk function. Provides excellent customer service for users requesting support or services through all available contact channels (face-to-face, telephone, email, online). Quickly analyse and either resolve or reallocate/escalate calls when they cannot be resolved at Level 1. Undertake ICT project tasks as assigned.

The Grade of this post is Grade 2 / Level 7, the hourly rate is from £14.26 to £15.57 and the annual salary is from £26,024 to £28,415. Please note this post is temporary for 23 months.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
