You'll lead other Developers and 3rd Party resources to support our People and Colleague Initiatives, and will be a key. member of our internal Development community.

As a Lead Developer you’ll be involved in the following:

  • You’ll manage, lead and organise a team of technical resources to deliver solutions and products for People and Colleague Experience initiatives

  • You’ll provide technical oversight and direction to the team, engaging with other teams and architects from across Technology

  • You’ll understand the user needs and transform these into deliverables

  • You’ll work with the business teams to set the Product priorities and then lead the delivery teams through clear prioritisation, planning, delivery, testing and service delivery

  • You’ll be comfortable working with Agile delivery methods and be able to adapt these to the situation

  • You’ll put the customer at the centre of things and provide support and service to the Product(s) 

  • You will have experience of working in an agile software development environment and have a strong understanding of technologies used

  • You’ll be working with Products and technologies in the People / HR and Colleague Domains such as Python, React, AWS, GCP Oracle, Reflexis, Workforce

  • Previous experience working as a Lead Software Developer or a Technical Delivery Manager 

  • Be Technical proficient in a number of programming languages

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and management skills

  • Excellent team- and relationship-building abilities, with both internal and external parties (engineers, business stakeholders, partners, etc.)

  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and maintain keen attention to detail

  • Natural tendency to be positive, creative, and curious 

  • Team player who enjoys collaborating with others

  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to influence cross-functional teams via diplomacy and tact
