Communications Team Leader
35 hours per week
£37,741 to £40,460 (including Distant Islands Allowance)
We are looking for a Communications Team Leader to be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of the Council’s internal and external communications strategy and the management of the Communications team to support the Councils vision, mission and strategic objectives.
You must be able to demonstrate that you have delivered effective integrated communications, using digital/online and traditional channels.
You will be experienced in developing a high standard of public and media relations and in fostering excellent stakeholder and partner relationships.
You will be skilled in gathering and analysing customer insight/intelligence to inform your planning, delivery and measurement of success.
Ideally you’ll have an awareness of the pressures and political sensitivities of working in a democratic organisation that delivers services to a wide range of citizens from the youngest to the most vulnerable.
In addition, experience of handling sensitive communications and those related to incident management is an essential part of this role.
You should be educated to degree or equivalent SCQF level 9 in a communication or media field.
