About the role
At the Park Hotel, Peebles Hydro’s sister hotel, we believe in offering traditional Scottish hospitality, which means from the minute guests step over the door they feel like they’re visiting close friends: And that welcome begins with you. Your job is to help people relax and unwind. You’ll offer a smooth and friendly check-in, tell them about what the hotel has to offer, as well as all the great attractions in the Borders. Right through until the customer departure when you’ll check them back out, you’ll deal with all their needs and wants, sort out any little niggles, and make sure their visit’s truly memorable.
What we need from you:
As a Receptionist you will be well presented, have a bright personality and be passionate about service and working hard to ensure the department runs as well as possible. You will have excellent presentation skills, be team orientated having excellent communication skills as you will communicate with all departments and perform as an effective member of the reception team.
This is a very operational you will ensure the highest level of service is met and every upselling opportunity is maximised to meet revenue targets. Exceptional customer service is at the heart of this business, so your friendly, welcoming personality’s a given. Your enthusiasm and passion for hospitality, along with your genuine smile and desire to get it right for the customer, will impress us. Customer service experience is essential. It’s great if you’ve got experience of working with systems, particularly Maestro, but you attitude’s what will really count.
