Salary is £21,709 per annum, pro rata. Hourly rate: £11.10/hr + enhancements when applicable.
Serco with the Langlands Building with QEUH are looking to recruit for a Domestic Supervisor. The purpose of this role is to ensure the domestic services are provided to the expected standards as per work schedules. Organising and allocating domestic duties to staff ensuring that these duties are carried out to the standard of all cleaning schedules in a safe manner.
The Domestic Supervisor will supervise the cleaning of work procedures (agreed jointly with NHSL/Serco) that incorporate all quality standards laid down by the client or Serco and Environmental audits and complete all domestic work methods as trained and instructed within BIC’s standards.
You will supervise the emptying, disposure and replacement of domestic waste containers as directed and ensure that waste is disposed of correctly in line with NHSL’s infection control manual, maintaining high personal hygiene and infection control standards.
As part of this role, you will assist and liaise with Department Managers, reporting on the facilities general condition and repair in terms of maintenance reporting and hazard spotting. Other duies will include completing PMS audits in line with contract output specifications. and cooperating fully with audit findings in relation to NHSL or Serco performance audits in agreed priority timescales.
As the supervisor, you will also participate in recruitment, training, absence management of domestic assistants as required and occasionally conduct investigatory interviews.
You will have supervisory experience in a similar domestic role, ideally within a healthcare environment. You will also be an excellent communicator and have a passion for helping others!
