This is a fixed term position for 12 months.

The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of presentations to all client types and channels within the EMEA distribution investment vector region. These will cover the full suite of asset classes and investment capabilities offered, maintaining systematically standardised content.

The candidate will be part of a highly specialised team. They will project plan and deliver presentations to brief within specified time-scales and will be required to be involved from the initial preparation of presentations through to their distribution. Can independently complete moderately complex presentations / due diligence packs. They will support the delivery of master slides, standard client review presentations and focus fund pitch books, whilst working within specified time-scales.

The candidate will need to build and develop positive working relationships with a range of departments and individuals throughout the company. They should possess the necessary drive and enthusiasm and be able to identify opportunities for improvements in process. The position requires a high degree of responsibility; accuracy and attention to detail are of upmost importance.

Role Purpose

To produce a wide range of presentations within agreed timescales to high quality standards in order to support sales and existing client business within abrdn, whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines at all times. Presentations can cover the firm’s various products and capabilities, relating to both the institutional and wholesale business. There is also the opportunity to be involved in ad-hoc projects.

Key Outcomes / Responsibilities:

  • Production of comprehensive & compelling sales and client presentations, product and client masters, fund strategy updates, within set deadlines

  • Create, maintain and enhance productive working relationships within the organisation (i.e., Client Directors, Client Reporting, Compliance, Performance Measurement Team, Fund Managers, Investment Specialists, Product Specialists, Business Development Managers)

  • Review and maintain individual workflow records on a daily basis

  • Proactively help and support other team members

  • Assisting in ongoing team projects & contribute to the development of processes & services or the improvement of standards & efficiency

  • Operate within Compliance framework across all countries of distribution (EMEA)

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint (essential), Excel, Outlook & Word

  • Awareness of Salesforce (or similar CRM system)

  • Market/product knowledge desirable (or a general interest in the financial industry)

  • Able to work independently as well as within a team, with enthusiasm to learn and develop

  • Time management skills, ability to organise own workload, prioritising urgent requests when needed in order to work to strict deadlines

  • High standard of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail (required for proof-reading)

  • Ability to access information from a variety of information sources and software

  • Ability to interpret and present information visually

  • European language skills are desirable
