West Highland College UHI is looking to recruit a Supported Learning Programme Support Worker to be based at our Portree Centre.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the provision of a friendly high quality learning experience that meets the needs of individual learners and promotes independence.
The post holder will be accountable for providing support to lecturing staff and students on West Highland College UHI courses to ensure that those with additional support needs (learning and other disabilities) are encouraged to reach their maximum potential.
The suitable candidate will have a good general level of qualifications and have experience of working
within an educational or care setting, or equivalent, with adults or young people.
Good written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role, as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
Salary: £20,835 per annum, pro-rata
Working Hours: 7.5 hours per week, split over 3 days, Fixed term contract (over 30 weeks), 33 days annual per year (pro-rata)
