Our seven hotels are unique (quirky even) and set in three stunning Scottish locations. Some are big, some are small but all offer good food & drink, great beds and a ton of things to do.

The Park

We’re slap bang in Peebles High Street and make the most of it.  Offering 25 hotel bedrooms, a restaurant, bar and bakery to guests and locals. From the moment you open the door, our quirky welcome is sure to spark your imagination as our character packed spaces draw influence from the March Street textiles mill. 

At the Park Hotel we have a great reputation for our delicious, gastro pub style food, served up to our residents and local clientele. We’re passionate about food: Our menu uses fresh, seasonal ingredients from Scotland’s larder and we’re part of Visit Scotland’s Taste our Best Scheme. You’ll prepare food for our informal 60 seat Brasserie style restaurant and our lounge bar. As well as leading a small team, you’ll create your own menus and daily specials

About the role

We’re looking for a people focussed, energetic Sous Chef for our  restaurants. The restaurant’s steeped in tradition (but it’s never stuffy) and takes pride in showcasing fabulous Scottish produce, lovingly prepared in the traditions of great British cooking, with a modern twist. Reporting directly to our Executive Head Chef you’ll be responsible for helping develop standards and skills in the team to make sure they deliver a consistently high standard of food, which looks as great as it tastes.

What we need from you:
As Sous Chef, you’ll have previous experience as Junior Sous or Sous in a busy kitchen. You’ll support the running of the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, so you’ll have strong leadership skills and the desire to develop your team by working alongside them, coaching and training them. It would be an advantage if you have experiance working in a rosette level kitchen. Creativity, we need you to bring your flair and individuality to the table. You will have to have a good standard of Health and Safety awareness.
