An opportunity has arisen for a Surveyor to join the Lease Management Team within Property Services.
You will undertake a wide range of professional duties, assisting in the delivery of a comprehensive Estates Service, with specific responsibility for the management of the Council’s industrial/commercial lease portfolio.
The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of lease portfolio management including new lettings/lease renewals, rent reviews, tenancy and financial management; for a portion of the Council’s lease portfolio which overall consists of 703 properties, with a passing rent £4.3 million per annum.
The position of surveyor requires someone who is committed, self motivated, has a positive, professional and responsible attitude, with the ability to work as part of a multi disciplinary team working to tight timescales. You should demonstrate a commitment to the principals of customer care, while displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills
You should hold appropriate degree level qualification and have, or be working towards, professional membership of the RICS with a proven track record in a lease management environment as well as the ability to demonstrate a knowledge of the property market and relevant current legislation.
