The Customer Services Officer - Faire will be part of the Comhairle’s Customer Service Team responsible for providing a high quality service on behalf of the Comhairle.
Officers based at Faire provide the community alarm service for members of the community who may require emergency assistance. The Officer will be expected to respond to calls with the minimum of delay, to determine accurately callers needs, and where appropriate, to make immediate contact with relatives, identified contact persons, or professional agencies such as the General Practitioners, Police, Fire or Ambulance.
You should have experience of dealing with the public and experience of handling high call volumes. It is essential that you have Standard Grade English and Mathematics (or equivalent) and the ability to communicate in Gaelic.
You will be required to ensure that offices are covered during normal working hours, including working on a rota basis.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade.
