Based in Dundee House, you will work full time 37 hours per week on a temporary basis for 26 months from date of commencement.

You will have Degree (SCQF Level 9) in relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Lead the development and implementation of active travel policies and co-ordinate project delivery of key active travel initiatives.
Undertake financial monitoring of externally and internally funded active travel projects, and contribute to capital and revenue budget setting processes.
Provide advice to Council planning and development services in relation to active travel policy, standards, and best practice and undertake technical reviews of development proposals in relation to active travel.
Develop and lead staff with in area of control to achieve Council Plan objectives.
You will have experience in project development & project management and knowledge of relevant domestic strategies on active travel, policies and/or funding programmes. You will have experience with partnership working.
You will have experience of managing/monitoring the use of external funding (eg ERDF, Places for Everyone, Smart Choices, Smarter Places), experience of developing successful funding bids and budget management.
You will have excellent oral and written communication skills, organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills and good IT skills.
You will have leadership skills with ability to be team player. You will have ability to work under pressure and to work out with office times.
