As part of Midlothian Council’s Equipped for Learning programme to support all Midlothian young people with a device for learning, the Digital Inclusion & Learning Team is expanding to support staff, young people and other professionals within our schools.
Reporting to Senior Learning Technologists, postholders will provide first line support to utilise Chromebook and iPad devices, maintaining professional knowledge of new developments in digital learning. They will be responsible for working with colleagues in the Digital Inclusion & Learning Team to implement new features and services and trial and assess new technologies as required to stay abreast of dynamic developments, including evaluating technologies and applications against agreed criteria.
You should have an ability to communicate with and present to external and internal stakeholders at all levels; be able to manage your own workload effectively with minimal supervision; be self-motivated and have an enthusiastic approach; you should also have an eye for detail and be able to manage conflicting priorities.
It is essential that you hold a HNC (or equivalent) in Information Technology or a related subject or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence. You must have a strong knowledge and practical experience of digital learning platforms and tools.
Ideally you should have previous experience of working in a learning establishment and have experience of working with a wide range of digital platforms including those provided by Google, Apple and Microsoft.

Based on you working 36 hours over 41 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £21,805.08 per annum.
