About the Role:
The Forth Valley Royal Hospital has 860 beds and covers a single site of approximately 95,000 square metres. The Estates Department will operate 24 hours a day 7 days per week.
The porter will provide an efficient portering service within Forth Valley Royal Hospital with focus on patient care escorting to and from departments and wards. The safe disposal of waste, delivery and movement of items such as records, mail, furniture, linen, medical gasses and other duties including but not limited to materials management and mortuary transfers.
The Porter will be required to self-manage their work and activities with consideration to patient care and other service requirements.
The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills including a good telephone manner. Experience working in a similar role or hospital environment is also beneficial.
