Salary: £27,498 - £41,412
Hours: 35 per week
The successful candidate will have relevant experience as a classroom teacher and be able to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in the classroom. You are required to have a highly developed understanding of learning and teaching pedagogies and must be able to demonstrate a commitment to professional learning and continuous development. A sound knowledge of current national developments will be required.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability to create, motivate and work effectively within a team and organise workload to meet tight time-scales. Good management, liaison, communication, presentational skills and a commitment to maximising pupil progress are essential to this post.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
