Home Working Consideration
Although usually office based, this post may be considered for a homeworking contract (either fully or on an ad hoc basis) in accordance with East Lothian Council’s Home Working and Worksmart Policies, and the requirements of the service.
Applications are invited for a secondment opportunity to the Quality Improvement Officer – Early Years role. You will be an experienced practitioner, with a wealth of experience in leading learning and an in depth knowledge of the local and national priorities leading developments in Early Learning and Childcare. This role will require you to drive improvement in the quality of Early Learning and Childcare in both local authority and voluntary, private and independent settings, including leading evaluation visits. You will lead on and co-ordinate the scrutiny and support role of the wider Early Learning and Childcare team providing a strategic overview of Quality assurance and support for early years settings. This will include pre and post Care Inspectorate and HMIE Inspection support and the development of training and development opportunities for Early Years staff.
