Role Purpose

The Throughcare & Aftercare Team is a multi-agency team based in Galashiels. The prime task of the post holder will be to provide a high quality service to young people who are subject to Continuing Care or are in receipt of Aftercare having been “looked after” by Scottish Borders Council’s Children and Families Social Work Service.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our highly motivated team. A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential.

Essential

HNC/SVQ3 in Social Care or Childcare and Education, or considerable experience and a commitment to undertake such training.

Previous experience of working with young people in a support role
Experience of working collaboratively with a range of statutory, voluntary and independent agencies.

*A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. SBC's e-car scheme is available.
