Longstone Primary School

Salary: £18,860 - £19,142 (Pro-rata for part time, sessional 39 weeks)
Hours: 22.5 per week/ 39 weeks per year, hours worked Monday to Thursday - 9.00 - 2.30 & Friday 9.00 - 11.50 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pupil Support Assistant to support individuals and pupil groups at Longstone Primary School. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and skilled with relevant experience of working with children in an educational setting. Ideally, they should also have relevant experience of supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs and be skilled in establishing effective positive relationships with children at various stages within a primary school. The role may require working 1:1 with a pupil with additional needs.

Interviews will be conducted online using Microsoft Teams.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.
