Salary: £19,500 - £22,500 (pro rata)


To support directors and manage with business accounting activities. This includes processing invoices, reconciling company accounts and chasing late payments. Assist with basic administrative tasks and help document and maintain the business’ finance procedures, updating and implementing them whenever necessary.

As directed, undertake or assist with any of the following:

  • 1. Verify and post details of business transactions such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledger and database
  • 2. Process journal entries an reconcile bank statements by analysing information from general ledger system
  • 3. Review and balance internal accounts, analyse variances, and prepare appropriate reports.
  • 4. Match, batch, and coding suppliers’ invoices
  • 5. Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, sales tax computations, payroll, and other accounting duties in a timely manner
  • 6. Credit control
  • 7. Leasing with third party providers, clients and suppliers 8. Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.

Candidate requirements

  • HND or equivalent in accounts or admin
  • Experience in bookkeeping practices Knowledge of basic financial, tax, and other accounting principles
  • Experience with Microsoft software packages
  • Clear and courteous communicator. Good attention to detail Mathematics skills for accurate record keeping
  • Organised and methodical with ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing demands and new challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
