A little about the role and services:

We are looking for a creative, dynamic, enthusiastic Registered Manager who can oversee 2 of our family support services based in Elgin and Buckie. Managing a team of up to 12 direct reports, you will provide the day-to-day management of IV30 Family Futures and AB56 Futures. The appointed applicant will be managing & supervising members of staff in a family centred environment, managing processes, making the services financially viable and making a positive mark on the provision of family centred services while being creative in their delivery.

Our IV30 Family Futures service is a person centred, needs led, holistic family support service for children, young people and families across Moray. Our spacious, refurbished, well equipped premises at Winchester House in Elgin can offer a range of daytime and after school activities including an arts and crafts room; music room; games room; a library, a fully equipped kitchen, a sensory room and a purpose built outside space.

The AB56 futures service has been developed as part of the Lady Cathcart School to support the ELCC expansion programme and will focus on providing whole family support including young parents and parental returners to the labour market. The AB56 Family Support Service provides a range of family support interventions within a family learning ethos. Our AB56 Futures Employability Service supports young people who have faced considerable disadvantage, and who may also face a range of barriers affecting their ability to find and sustain employment and provides participants with a comprehensive 6 week in house training programme and an opportunity to gain an SVQ2 in childcare. The refurbished premises at Lady Cathcart school offers a flexible learning space with IT, fully equipped kitchen and dedicated family space with soft play.

How you can help our Children and Young People:

  • Managing a team of up to 12 in a family-centred, holistic based service.
  • Co-ordinating & training the team drive of family based, employability support.
  • Establish processes on referrals for new service users, allowing monitoring and evaluation of these processes to occur.
  • Co-ordinating the assessment procedure for members of staff to work from, maintaining the focus on participant checks
  • Ensuring staff deliver induction & compliance checks, alongside personal development plans.
  • Being the service lead for safeguarding & health and safety.
  • Managing budgeting of the serviceS, identifying new funding schemes for income.
  • Attending meetings as and when required across the regions cluster.

What we'd love you to have:

  • SVQ4 in a relevant subject.
  • Experience of managing family support or employment services.
  • Experience of budget management.
  • Experience of people management (preferably in a social care or employment background).
  • Experience of delivering a thorough service to users.
  • Experience of setting up and finding new income streams.
  • A clean driving licence and access to a car. The job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
