Required for 37 hours per week on a permanent basis, for the optimisation of energy use throughout the Comhairle estate, including the evaluation of renewable energy/net zero alternatives. Will also lead on the capturing and utilisation of energy and emission related data, and on corporate awareness campaigns.
You must be educated to degree level and have professional qualifications or experience in a relevant work environment.
You must have knowledge of current and emerging renewable energy technology and its application, and knowledge of the building standards and best practice guidance, as they relate to energy efficiency, along with knowledge of energy saving measures and initiatives and their application and of energy management systems and their use. You will be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken word to a wide range of audiences and have well developed inter-personal skills and highly developed ICT skills especially in the use and design of spreadsheets and databases.
A current, full, unrestricted driving licence is essential.
Salary quoted is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment will be on the first point of the scale.
