Principal Teacher of Home Economics - PKC08092
Bertha Park High School, Perth
Bertha Park High School is recruiting a motivated, creative, and forward-thinking Principal Teacher of Home Economics to join their growing staff team.
The first non-replacement new school in Scotland for almost 20 years, Bertha Park High opened in 2019 to just S1 and S2. Now incorporating S1 – S4, the school is well on its way to having a full learner compliment.
What does this mean though, for a Principal Teacher joining at this point? It means an exciting and almost unique opportunity to build a department completely from scratch; a chance to develop courses and initiatives at all levels to meet the needs of our young people, all in the environment of a beautiful new building with the best resources and technology available.
This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to be involved in developing not only the departmental needs, but the whole-school culture as Bertha Park High continues to grow and evolve.
You will be an experienced practitioner and leader of learning who can demonstrate a track-record of achieving better outcomes for learners. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate, engage and earn the trust of young people and colleagues as you support their individual and collective needs.
You will be a dynamic and enthusiastic individual, keen to take on new challenges and work creatively with a wide range of innovative technologies. You will be capable of creating, developing, and leading new initiatives.
We welcome people who can think and act imaginatively about how and what they can offer our learners; we actively encourage and support inventive and innovative practice.
Relationships are also extremely important to us. You will be capable of demonstrating how you have developed and nurtured excellent relationships with young people and how that has made an impact in their learning.
Can you make a difference to the lives of our children and young people? Do you aspire to be one of our next leaders in education? If so, we believe this is an opportunity you will not want to miss.
