It is East Lothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale. The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £20.61 - £23.24

An opportunity has arisen for a part time, Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join our forward thinking, dynamic and integrated team based at East Lothian Community Hospital in Haddington. Our service is committed to developing effective and efficient ways of enabling people affected by disability to achieve their outcomes. The post holder will be part of the Senior Practitioner team and will have supervisory responsibilities as well as being responsible completing occupational therapy assessments, statutory review work, postural and seating assessments for some of the most vulnerable citizens of East Lothian. The post holder will also be involved in developing new standards of practice when providing care for people with complex needs.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is skilled in assessment, rehabilitation, adaptations and moving and handling. You will have sound knowledge of a range of medical conditions and how they affect a persons ability to function in their home environment. You must be registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
To provide a responsive and needs led occupational therapy service throughout East Lothian within the requirements of relevant legislation, national standards, policies and guidelines

Registration as an Occupational Therapist with Health and Care Professions Council
Adult Protection Certificate level 2.
