The Grade of this post is Grade 1 / Level 3 with an annual salary from £17,045 to £17,775 plus a 5% non core allowance.
Rotational shift pattern: Early shift - 07:00 - 15:00 / Late shift - Let dependant
South Ayrshire Council applies the Scottish Local Government Living Wage for its workforce. This means that the minimum hourly rate for South Ayrshire Council employees will be £9.34. Although this post currently has a basic hourly rate of £8.93, £9.34 per hour will be paid. The Living Wage will also be used in the calculation of any hours worked beyond 37 per week and on any allowance based on a proportion of the hourly rate e.g. out with core and night working.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
