Degree level qualification or SVQ5 or equivalent. (In exceptional circumstances extensive relevant experience combined with a qualification below degree level may be acceptable.)
Working knowledge of the law applying to social security, employment, financial advice.
Experience of the main areas of welfare advice work, including welfare benefits, money management, employment.
Experience of representing clients at court or tribunal.
Experience of staff supervision.
