THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Freshwater Operative for our Furnace Smolt Unit, near Inverary, Argyll. As part of a team, you will assist your colleagues in building strong key relationships and ensuring a safe working environment for all.

The successful candidate will find themselves directly reportable to the Freshwater Manager for the Furnace Smolt Unit and will carry out a range of work which will include all aspects of the day-to-day husbandry throughout the freshwater production cycle, whilst maintaining the site’s high standards of hygiene & biosecurity.

You will be expected to participate in a weekend duty rota and be prepared to work flexible hours should the needs arise.

Requirements

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Candidates should be active, self-motivated, mature minded individuals with excellent team working and communication skills. Computer literacy and a technical aptitude would be advantageous, as is possession of a current driving licence.
