Job Title: Relief Kitchen Assistant Location: Various Care Homes within the Scottish Borders - all available locations are listed on the application form, please tick which location(s) you'd like to be considered for. Hours: 0 - casual/relief Salary*: £10.90 per hour /£21,029.19 pro rata per annum (Pay Award pending) Qualifications: No formal qualifications required. A Kitchen Assistant will assist the Cook and Assistant Cook within the residential setting to ensure that the specified service delivery is met. Contribute to the day to day running of the kitchen and ensure that compliance of all Health & Safety and current legislation is met. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: - Support the Cook/Assistant Cook with required tasks. - To ensure that all Health & Safety and C.O.S.H.H. regulations are adhered to. - Implement materials and equipment practices in accordance with C.O.S.H.H. regulations and Health & Safety policies. - Ensure maintenance of equipment and stock levels. - To report any concerns regarding Health & Safety to the Manager. - To report maintenance or any other faults to the Manager. * Scottish Local Government Living Wage Allowance of £10.90 applies to this post
