The role is to boost the take-up of R100 Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme (SBVS) vouchers and UK Gigabit Vouchers (UKGV) in the Tay Cities area over the next 2 years. This will involve engagement with key stakeholders and suppliers with the objective of getting as many premises connected to high speed broadband as quickly as possible. These two posts are a shared resource between Angus Council, Dundee City Council, Fife Council and Perth & Kinross Council funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund and working across the Tay Cities Deal area. Posts will be located in Pullar House in Perth although working from council premises across the region, hybrid working and home working will all be applicable for these posts. The postholders will support business, communities and residents to increase the take up and installation of new fibre, wireless or satellite broadband connections across each council area in the Tay Cities.
Essential:•Degree or equivalent •Knowledge of digital communications and the role that it plays as part of the smart city, digital economy, digital skills and innovation agendas •Experience of working on collaborative projects with a range of partners •Excellent IT skills including data manipulation and basic GIS analysis •Good communication and project management skills
Desirable: •Knowledge of telecommunications industry •Working on digital or smart city projects •Working with local communities
