We are now looking for two Well Engineering & Operations Inspectors to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. Part-time working hours are also available for this role, for candidates who can commit to working a minimum of 30 hours (four days) per week.

The Role
As a Well Engineering & Operations Inspector, you will inspect and regulate a wide range of offshore and onshore drilling and well engineering operations activities.
Using your knowledge of oil and gas well construction and operations, you’ll provide specialist advice and guidance related to well engineering operations and drilling activities.
As part of the offshore safety case permissioning regime, you will assess safety cases, as well as performing site and HQ inspections and investigating accidents, incidents, and complaints for onshore and offshore well operations.
Supporting enforcement action, you’ll produce technical reports and expert evidence for legal proceedings, as well as contributing to the development of industry standards and guidance.
About You
To be considered as a Well Engineering & Operations Inspector, you will need:
- Experience of well engineering, with responsibility for planning and managing drilling operations at a senior level
- Experience managing and contributing to relevant technical projects
- Experience of risk assessment and risk management tools
- Knowledge of well-servicing operations, with the ability to work with other technical disciplines
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Good organisational and planning skills
- To hold, or be working towards, chartered status with the Engineering Council and a Corporate membership of an approved professional institution
- A full, valid driving licence
Please note, successful candidates must be able to satisfy the UK offshore medical and survival training requirements.
