Our Adviser business provides financial planning solutions and technology for UK financial advisers, enabling them to create value for their businesses and their clients and is going through an exciting period of growth following new product and client offerings.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Adviser Sales team in a Lead Business Relationship Manager role.

This is a Sales Management role, leading a team of field and office-based Business Relationship Managers (10 FTE) to grow market share of new business flow, with the aim of securing and maintaining primary platform position in advisory businesses and delivering an exceptional adviser experience. Achievement of agreed commercial targets through leadership and performance management of direct reports is a key part of this role.

Due to the coverage area of the team, the successful candidate will need to be based in the South East or South West of England.

Key Outputs will include:

  • Meet and exceed allocated team sales/growth targets from agreed adviser relationships, supporting the annual target-setting process and effective application of client segmentation

  • Analyse available data and insight to inform and appropriately manage team priorities and activities within the region

  • Review Account Plans with teams, coaching them in their sales approach, role model usage of CRM (Salesforce) and set the required standard for preparation and quality follow-up for all adviser meetings

  • Lead, develop and performance manage your team of direct reports ensuring a high standard of capability and competence in the team with a focus on training and development at an individual and team level i.e. showcase calls, pitch perfects, call coaching

  • Lead on internal relationships with key influencers to ensure the effective deployment of additional support available to advisers from across the Group

  • Engage effectively with leaders of supporting teams to ensure your team are operating at maximum efficiency and spending time in valued areas to drive growth

  • Operate with a commercial attitude at all times, striving to meet adviser requirements and deliver on the required growth objectives in a cost-effective and sustainable manner

  • Support team as required as a point of contact for critical issues or complaints, working across the business as appropriate to ensure relationships with customers are maintained and following appropriate regulatory guidelines where required

  • Ensure behaviour and conduct is consistent with company values and all regulatory and risk requirements are adhered to

  • Industry and product knowledge up to date and maintained to maximise business opportunities and credibly coach and develop direct reports

To be successful in this role you will need (minimum experience/requirements):

  • Demonstrative experience in a targeted environment, managing a team of sales-people and taking a modern approach to sales leadership

  • Ability to embrace and enable new technologies and modern sales processes and techniques

  • Strong industry, regulatory and product knowledge

  • Professional Qualification - CertFS, Diploma, Adv Diploma, Chartered FP
