About this opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Segment Activation, Growth and Innovation, you'll be principally responsible for ‘joining the dots’ in surfacing and applying customer and market insight to catalyse our growth initiatives, identify revenue opportunities, create differentiation, drive customer engagement and enable us to design and deliver innovative customer engagement capabilities and value propositions for the Mass-Affluent business.
A key part of this role will be being the centre of identifying insight priorities, linking insight to the commercial objectives, making sense of and aggregating insight about Mass Affluent customers in the UK. This involves connecting customer insight developed within the Bank and Mass-Affluent team, customer insight in the wider market and insights around specific aspects of Mass-Affluent propositions in the wider market
In doing so, you'll be collaborating with colleagues in the Mass Affluent Proposition team (Banking and Investment propositions) and across the Lloyds Banking Group (e.g, Strategic and Customer Insights Team, and Product Managers).
Day-to-day this will involve embracing uncertainty, solving unstructured problems, creating and applying analyses, originating insight hypotheses, developing narratives and presentations to engage a wide range of partners, working with and part of cross-functional teams.
Whilst you'll be principally focused on Application of Customer and Industry insight, you'll often get involved in other evolving strategic priorities of the wider Proposition team such as Brand, Segmentation, Sustainability, developing propositions with non-FS Partners, developing presentations for senior partners, conducting economic analyses etc.
We’re looking for people who:
Are energised about the Bank’s purpose of Helping Britain Prosper
Are passionate about customers and customer insight and have a track record of applying customer insight to solve business problems
Intellectually curious, natural problem solvers and focused on finding the better answer
‘Self-starters’, able to be agile, take initiative and work in a ‘start-up’ mentality
Have experience of and love working in multi-disciplinary teams are inherently collaborative and not hierarchical
Excited about developing digital-first propositions to solve customer problems
Take initiative and not hesitant to challenge the status quo
What you'll need
Essential
Track record of engaging with customer insight and applying it to develop propositions, drive revenue growth, improve customer experience etc.
Very conversant with both, qualitative and quantitative customer insight mechanisms and experience of defining research objectives, engaging with research teams, synthesising research findings, identifying the “so-whats”, and presenting findings to senior audiences
Enjoy the process of identifying and applying customer insight – enjoy watching a customer focus group as much as reviewing results of multi-variate regression and conjoint analyses to identify customer insights
Experience of doing deep analyses of competitor propositions and market developments
Experienced in topics such as customer journeys and personas, competitor analyses, segmentation, pricing etc.
Ability to think conceptually, take a step-back as well as engage with details,
Understanding and track record of working in projects and familiarity of key project management processes
Ability to effectively guide and manage colleagues
Strong skills in Excel and Powerpoint
Desirable
Experience in applying customer insight to drive revenue growth in UK retail and mass-affluent banking
Understanding and familiarity of UK mass-affluent industry developments and propositions in banking, investments and insurance
