Aurrida House provides a wide range of high quality support services for children with additional support needs and their families. This includes part week residential support for school placement, residential and day respite, short breaks, a home based support service, and an emergency provision.
Aurrida House is seeking a caring, diligent person to join our committed team. You will provide social and personal care on a shift rota basis to children and young people with additional support needs. You must be able to evidence a commitment to the care of children and have experience of direct work with children/young people in the field of additional support needs. We are looking for someone who holds a strong sense of professionalism and who is familiar with the standards of care required by the Care Commission.
You should hold an SVQ3 Social Services (Children and Young People), at SCQF Level 7, AND an HNC Social Services, or other relevant qualification(s) to enable registration with the SSSC. Where the essential qualification(s) are not held, you are required to achieve these within 5 years of appointment.
Applicants must be registered with the SSSC within six months of appointment.
You will be provided with regular supervision and training opportunities to enhance your existing skills.
This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children and adults.
