Job Description

You will be required to assist in the provision of a high quality out of school care service in line with Care Inspectorate regulations and guidelines.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post requires a minimum of SVQ level 2 qualification in Play work or equivalent work experience.

Core Hours (Term Time, Split Shift)
 
Monday to Friday - 07:15 to 09:30 and 14:45 to 18:00
 
Core Hours (Holiday Periods/ In-Service/Occasional Days)
 
Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 18:00 - usually on a rota of 08:00 to 13:00/ to 18:00

There is a requirement to be on site during the Club opening hours.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Requirements

You will have experience of working with children in a supervisory capacity and the ability to relate to children and families in a positive manner, together with a creative and enthusiastic approach.

You will have good organisational skills and good communication skills. Flexibility with the ability to prioritise workload for self and others are required, and basic administrative skills are desirable.
