Duration: Permanent, Full Time

About the Role:

The main purpose of the role is to work with owners of long-term empty privately owned residential properties, to support them to bring the property back into use.  

This role involves responding to requests and enquiries regarding empty properties from a variety of sources including members of the public, owners of empty properties, Elected Members/MSPs, Scottish Empty Homes Partnership, external organisations including Police Scotland and Scottish Fire & Rescue Service and other council services.

The role also includes the development of strategies, policies, practices, and procedures which lead to empty private sector residential properties being brought into use.  

Requirements

Minimum Qualification(s) / Certificates / Memberships etc. required:

Educated to HND or equivalent qualification level

Responsibilities

The post holder as a minimum, demonstrate skills and experience in:

Ability to manage, organise and prioritise complex workloads and demonstrate time management skills

Ability to work on own initiative and respond independently to unanticipated situations

Ability to demonstrate excellent inter-personal and communication skills

Ability to collate and analyse data

Ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate strategic actions in relation to empty homes
