About the Internship Programme
The opportunity to join us as an intern is one that is unique, challenging and rewarding. We are currently looking for world-class talent to join our summer internship programme running from June – August 2024 (10 Weeks) in our Edinburgh or London office within our Brand & Digital Marketing Management, Corporate Affairs & Investor Relations (BMCA&IR) function.
If you like to consume information in different ways and expect it to be engaging and concise – you are no different to the audiences we work with every day.

If you are excited about writing content, thinking about how we can use technology, data and insights to improve how to engage with different audiences - our internship programme is the one for you.
Over the 10 week summer placement you will be given real work with tangible outputs. You will gain a depth of experience; getting the opportunity to work with seasoned professionals and engage in development activities with your peers on the internship programme.
On the internship you could be placed into any of the following teams and will remain in that team throughout your internship.
External Communications
Managing and enhancing the reputation of abrdn through media relations, corporate social media accounts and leadership communications.
Investor Relations
Supporting a proactive engagement plan with our institutional investors and financial analysts to build advocacy for abrdn’s strategy and educate them on the investment case for the business.
Colleague Communications
We’re always on the lookout for creative, tech-savvy and people -oriented colleagues who can help us super-charge our connections with our people across abrdn. We love crafting messages that bring energy and make people think. We’re passionate about content that people will remember and will make then pause for thought. We want to build pride and a sense of community across this business and that takes curiosity and a desire to turn data and insight into action.
Corporate Sustainability
Delivering our sustainability strategy, including our Climate Transition Plan for net zero goals, tracking operational emissions data, and improving reporting of climate related financial information.
Digital Marketing Management
Management of abrdn.com. Engaging audiences through user experience design of digital journeys, and using data, insight and analytics that drive efficiencies in customer targeting and engagement levels.
Brand Management
abrdn’s brand strategy and how this is activated across the company. Managing our supplier partner who provides vital creative services to the whole of abrdn.
As well as on the job learning, you will have access to a wide range of e-learning courses and complete a structured development programme over 10 weeks that includes training, networking and gaining exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.
About You
We are looking for students in their final year (Graduating in 2024), from a variety of degree disciplines.
For our Investor Relations team specifically we are looking for degrees in Economics, Maths, Computer Science, Finance or Accounting.
