Job Description
A vacancy has arisen for an Early Years Practitioner to act as a member of the Early Learning and Childcare team, with full involvement in the work of the Early Level curriculum, and where appropriate the pre-Birth to Three Framework, helping to contribute to the care and education of children.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality and service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service of the organisation.
This is a Children’s Service Network (CSN) post. Initially you will be based at Mill O'Forest School Nursery, but you may be required to work elsewhere within the Stonehaven CSN.
This position is subject to Local Government terms and Conditions.
The successful candidate will be employed on a 52.18 week contract
This post is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 6 months of employment.
Mill O' Forest Nursery is an all year setting operating between the hours of 0800 and 1800, Monday to Friday and the successful candidate will need to be available to work within these hours.
